Simplicity Embroidery File Formats Explained
- PES – Primary Simplicity format, widely used across Brother-compatible systems.
- DST – Industry-standard commercial embroidery format (supported on SB series).
Important Notes
Older SE series machines may require designs larger than 120,000 stitches to be split into multiple files. Always verify hoop size compatibility before transferring your design.
File Conversion
If your design is in another format (VP3, JEF, EXP, etc.), convert it to PES before loading onto your Simplicity machine. Most embroidery software allows quick conversion and preview before stitching.
